Coimbatore: After a woman from Valparai was diagnosed with COVID-19 and admitted at the Coimbatore ESI, preventive measures to control the spread of COVID-19 are being intensified in Valparai.
Coimbatore: After a woman from Valparai was diagnosed with COVID-19 and admitted at the Coimbatore ESI, preventive measures to control the spread of COVID-19 are being intensified in Valparai.
The Gandhi Nagar area where the woman stayed has already been announced as an isolated area and cordoned off. Spraying of disinfectants is being undertaken all over the area. Medical teams have been monitoring the area as well and blood samples of 20 people have been collected and sent for testing.
The Valparai Municipal Administration, Revenue department, Medical department and the Police department are working together to safeguard the community.
As a part of the measures to disinfect the areas, power paragliders were used to spray disinfectants all over Valparai today. This activity was kickstarted from grounds of Government College of Arts and Science in Valparai.
Valparai Tahsildar Rajan, Valparai Cooperative Bank President Hameed, City Secretary Mayil Ganesan, College Principal Sridharan and Village Administrative Officer Vijay Amirtharaj took part in overseeing this activity.
