Coimbatore: Over 150 Journos of print, digital and TV were subjected to COVID-19 testing at the District Collectorate premises on Tuesday. With results of most of them been declared, none have been tested positive, according to reports.
Coimbatore: Over 150 Journos of print, digital and TV were subjected to COVID-19 testing at the District Collectorate premises on Tuesday. With results of most of them been declared, none have been tested positive, according to reports.
Blood samples of the journos were collected and tested using the newly arrived rapid testing kits.
The testing was held in the presence of Collector K Rajamani and health officials.
The move to test all journalists in the State comes after two journalists in Chennai were tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, and 26 of their colleagues have also been confirmed to contracted the infection.
Similar, tests were held in Tirupur and Nilgiris districts, too.
