Poor people have been hit hard by a severe economic crisis as curfew has been issued due to the spread of the coronavirus. There is no income as there is no work for the daily wage labourers.

Various people have been assisting the livelihood of these people. Yesterday, Rs. 10 lakh worth essentials were provided to poor in Bellapalayam panchayat near Mettupalayam in Coimbatore.
The event was held at the Bellapalayam Panchayat Office, where Tasildhar Shantamani and Councillor Sivakumar provided essential commodities such as rice and vegetables to the people living in the area. Following the event, products were delivered directly to each area.
