Coimbatore: The number of cases in the Coimbatore district has been receding as there have been very few cases in the last few days. The district administration has been very active in controlling the spread and also in tracking the contact history of positive COVID-19 patients.
Today, a policewoman who was in duty on the Annur - Avinashi Road check posts was tested positive. She has now been admitted in the ESI Hospital, in Coimbatore for further treatment.
It is to be noted that on April 7, 2020 5 people from Annur were tested positive for COVID-19. The Administration locked the area down and started to actively trace the contacts of those positive cases and announced it as one of the no-movement zones.
Now the policewoman’s contacts are being traced to further eliminate any suspicious cases in the area.
