Coimbatore: A woman who just delivered a baby hailing from Valparai was tested positive for COVID-19 when she returned home after her delivery in Pollachi GH. It’s a mystery how she was allowed to return to Valparai while the test results were awaited. She was residing at the Gandhinagar area in New Market, Valparai.
Coimbatore: A woman who just delivered a baby hailing from Valparai was tested positive for COVID-19 when she returned home after her delivery in Pollachi GH. It’s a mystery how she was allowed to return to Valparai while the test results were awaited. She was residing at the Gandhinagar area in New Market, Valparai.
Following this she has now been admitted to the Coimbatore ESI. As a result of the woman contracting COVID-19, the entire Gandhinagar area where she stayed and the New Market area are now being fumigated. The area has been declared as an isolation area. Orders have been issued to all the businesses and shops in the Valparai city to remain closed.
Under the orders of the Municipal Commissioner Dr. Pavanraj, the Nagai Kadai Veedhi and Kakkan Colony in the Valparai Market area are being fumigated. The Municipality workers were involved in the disinfection of the areas, vigorously.
The people of Valparai have also been asked to remain indoors and people are warned with severe action against them if they are caught violating the order. This is being informed on loudspeakers for the benefit of the people by the Municipality.
