Coimbatore: In a shockingly inhuman incident, a mother and her illicit lover killed the six year old son of the woman for being a hinderance to their relationship.
Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, a stone-hearted mother had killed her six-year-old son with the help of her illicit lover in Coimbatore. The duo have been arrested by the Saibaba Colony Police, on Monday.
According to police reports, Arun and Divya, a couple from the Nilgiris parted ways due to a strained relationship. Their six-year-old son, Abishek had been staying with Divya in Coimbatore.
Divya and her son were staying in Kovilmedu area, here. During her stay here, she had acquired contacts with Rajadurai, a call taxi driver from Theni, working, here. The duo's relationship grew intimate and Rajadurai had been frequently visting her. Due to the lockdown imposed, Rajadurai had been staying at Divya's house, for the past three weeks.
On Sunday, Divya and Rajadurai had beaten Abhishek brutally, as they found him to be a hindrance to continue their relationship. The assault left the child suffer life-threatening injuries. As the child cried in great pain, the stone- hearted mother and her illicit lover watched him suffer.
Later, they feared of getting caught, and have reportedly administered some pain killer drugs to the child. Sadly, unable to withstand any further pain, the child collapsed.
The duo then panicked and called for an 108 ambulance and reported that the child had collapsed, all of a sudden. The ambulance support staff who examined the boy declared him dead and found dubious on the couple, as the child had multiple injuries in his body.
Following which, the ambulance staff alerted the Saibaba Colony Police Station, who arrived to the spot and filed a case against the mother and her illicit lover.
Upon investigation, the police confirmed that the duo have beaten the child to death. "The accused have been booked under section 302 and 401. The duo were produced in the Court today and remanded", told police sources.
