A small size robot called Robotic Food tray, this robot is capable of handling 5 to 7 KG of things.
Speaking about the robot he designed, Karthik said, "These small sized robots will be helpful in providing food and medicine to the COVID-19 patients. It's small size makes it convenient for use. The robot can be operated from anywhere with the help of mobile phones.
The robot can also be fitted with a mobile phone and video chats with the patients can be conducted. These types of robots were used in China when they were battling the COVID-19 pandemic. These robots can be helpful in preventing the spread of the disease to the doctors and nurses who are treating the patients.
During this time I wanted to use my skills as an engineer to contribute something to this fight against the novel coronavirus”.
