In spite of such measures, youngsters are seen gathering in the streets for chit chatting and playing games. The police have therefore been monitoring these activities with the help of drone cameras in the city regions.
In addition to that, the Coimbatore police have now started using drone cameras to monitor the movement of people in Kovaipudur, Edayarpalayam, KK Pudur and Kuniyamuthur. Similarly these drones are being used in the areas under isolation to monitor the activity of the people and to see if anyone is stepping out from the area.
It has been noticed that the people who are seen gathering outdoors tend to step back into their houses when they see a drone in action. Therefore the police have decided to use drones to monitor the movement of the people until the lockdown is lifted.
The areas of Podanur and Sundarapuram are also being monitored through drone cameras.
