The house of Subramaniam of Kunilvayal village near Gudalur, Nilgiris was attacked by wild elephants on Wednesday midnight. The people in the house escaped unscathed.
However, the wild elephants returned back the next day, on Thursday night and attacked the house again. This time, they managed to wreck the house entirely. Due to the dilapidated state of the house the family of Subramaniam had to stay at a neighbour's house.
Upon receiving information regarding this incident the Gudalur Transport Assistant Commissioner Bakkiyanathan and Policeman Pramod brought food supplies and vegetables, with the help of a trader and provided it to the affected family.
