Young womans head crushed in a fatal accident involving carrot cleaning machine

The Nilgiris: Nandini, daughter of Subramani and Sumithra of the Kandi area in Ketti, Nilgiris was working at a place in Palada that sends carrots to other districts. She was involved in cleaning a load of carrots that were to be sent to Madurai.

While she was working, her hair accidentally got caught in the machine and her head was crushed on the machine and she died on the spot.



Police arrived immediately and retrieved the body of Nandini and sent it for postmortem to the Ooty GH.

This incident has shocked and saddened the entire locality.
