As the number of positive cases in Tirupur rose to 80, CRPF has been deployed for security round the clock. To allegedly help them to protect themselves from these infections, the CRPF was provided with Coronavirus Preventive Homeopathic Pills in the Police Commissioner's Office, free of charge in the presence of Dr King's Homeopathic physician and the Police Commissioner.



This should come as a surprise as Homeopathy has been derecognized as a treatment method in countries like UK where test after test has proved its inefficacy in treating various ailments from . With the government not approving any recognised preventive measures, providing homeopathic pills to armed forces as some kind of protection by the Police Department comes as a surprise.

In times like these, the District Administration should consider such proposals with more diligence and not put the forces in harms way unknowingly.
