Tirupur: Police arrested a person for illegal sale of alcohol at hiked prices. Tirupur North Police station received confidential information that alcohol was being sold illegally at Kodikambam. Upon investigation it was revealed that Nagendran had hoarded liquor bottles at his home and was selling through the back door at hiked prices.

Police caught him red-handed. They confiscated 277 liquor bottles and it was found that he was selling Rs.120 worth liquor bottles at Rs. 500. Police have launched a search for two employees of the TASMAC shop near Shanthi theatre in Perumanallur road for supplying Nagendran with liquor bottles. Police produced the accused in court and imprisoned him.
