As of Thursday, 1 new COVID-19 positive case has been reported in Coimbatore and Tirupur. The patient from Coimbatore district js a 20-year-old pregnant woman from Pollachi who was tested COVID-19 positive. An emergency C-Sec was peformed at Pollachi GH to
deliver the child. She delivered to a female baby on April 13.
Now, she has bern referred to Coimbatore ESI hospital for further treatment.
There was no new case in the Nilgiris and the total number of cases reported in TN has reached just 1267.
Today, the total number of cases in the State also saw a slight increase of 25 new cases. After a number of days where the rise in number of positive cases was nearly in the hundreds, the numbers would surely come as a huge relief for the people of three districts (Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Tirupur) as for the third day in a row, the total number of cases has ben low.
