Coimbatore: The COVID-19 crisis has created a great impact on the world and its effects are felt increasingly day by day. It’s not just the public but doctors are also affected by this disease.

Two trainee doctors at the CMCH who were on duty at the ESI Hospital were tested positive for the virus and are now being treated at the ESI Hospital. Health Department officials are contact tracing the places that the two trainee doctors have visited. One of those places being actively monitored is the CRRI quarters where they stayed while on duty.

Following this 100 other trainee doctors particularly from the CRRI Quarters of the CMCH were tested for the virus. Luckily all of them have been tested negative.

Though the tests have come out negative, the Health department is closely monitoring the other trainee doctors as well.
