A three feet black cobra was spotted near the Sub- Registrar of Cooperative Societies office and the Office of the Department of Animal Husbandry next to the Public Relations office.
Coimbatore: The District Collectorate of Coimbatore is usually a bustling place with thousands of employees and public visitors to the Collectorate. Due to the lockdown the number of employees working from office has drastically reduced.
Today saw an unusual visitor to the collectorate, a three feet black cobra. It was spotted near the Sub- Registrar of Cooperative Societies office and the Office of the Department of Animal Husbandry next to the Public Relations office.
The PRO office staff who spotted the cobra informed the South Fire station office. Following this a five member team led by Station Officer Selvamohan consisting of Jeeva, Manickam, Firefighters Sivakumar and Vignesh caught the black cobra after a lot of struggle. The snake was captured in a jute sack and taken away. The fire department officials informed that they would release the cobra into the forest.
