While fake reports have been circulated in social media of the doctor being infected with Corona, the private hospital where he was treated has confirmed that the doctor died due to dengue and multiple organ failure.
Dr. V. Jayamohan (30) from Sirumugai in Mettupalayam was working at the Primary Health Center at Allimayaar hamlet in Nedugula in Kothagiri. On April 10, as he was unwell he reportedly left to his hometown. As his health condition worsened, his family members shifted him to PSG Hospital in Coimbatore, on April 12.

Upon examination, the doctors at PSG confirmed that he was suffering from Dengue fever. While he was undergoing critical treatment at the hospital, Dr. Jayamohan's health worsened causing multiple organ failure. Not responding to the treatment, he died on the night of April 14.
The death of a young doctor due to dengue has sent shock waves among the people at Nedugula Village where was working.
