They are involved in various tasks, including disinfection and sanitary works.

A medical check-up was conducted by the Government Primary Health Center at a private hall in Valparai. Valparai Legislator Kasthuri Vasu, who attended the camp, distributed sarees and dhotis in appreciation of the municipality workers.
He also served them lunch following which, he visited the Amma Unavagam at the new market complex in Valparai and inspected the quality of food.
Valparai MLA kasthuri Vasu, Municipal Commissioner Dr Pavanraj, Co-operative Bank Chairman Valparai Ameed, City Secretary Mayil Ganesan, Salauddin, Narasappan doctors, nurses and others presided the event.
