After the discussion he told reporters that, “At the time of the inspection of 2140 people in the Coimbatore district, 126 people had been diagnosed with coronavirus. Work is being undertaken to isolate and conduct a door-to-door inspection. He said 12 places in Coimbatore have been declared a zero-movement zones and are under inspection.”
He also said that “Egg will be provided in all Amma Unavagam from tomorrow and added that 18,000 people are being fed every day in all the outlets. The expenses of food are being borne by the AIADMK.
The coronavirus prevention program in Coimbatore was active and that the public should fully cooperate with the government and that the coronavirus could be fully controlled if people were to co-operate fully for another 15 days. The district administration is focusing more on controlling the corona spread.”
Responding to a question about the inadequate facilities for Government Medical Postgraduate Medical Students in Coimbatore, he said that he has instructed the authorities to do all necessary assistance to the doctors at the Government Hospital in Coimbatore.
We have advised to provide accommodation equal to star hotels for postgraduate students. They have been told to stay for the time being and we have asked the postgraduate medical students to be cautious of their health.
Minister SP Velumani said that “there is sufficient number of N95 face masks in Coimbatore and we have instructed to provide quality food to postgraduate medical students.”
