Low cost ventilators that are available in the market are priced between Rs.8,300 and Rs.12,000. However, "the new ventilator we have produced is priced at Rs.5,900", said the Managing Director of Hi Tech Engineers, Suresh.
With a capability to produce 100 ventilators a day, the company can produce both mechanical and electrical ventilators. These ventilators are sold at low prices and are being manufactured with the motive of being easily available and useful to the public.
The company was also ready to make any changes to the equipment, if the government gave permission to produce the ventilators.
