Coimbatore: The Kovai Pazhamudhir Nilayam has today closed down their RS Puram and Saibaba Colony branches for regular periodic maintenance that is undertaken in all their stores every week.

“This is done to prevent any unforeseen circumstances and serving our customers with proper hygiene during these testing times and we take the help of corporation of do it to ensure there are no slippages and for the trust of our customers”, said Senthil Natarajan, Managing Director of Kovai Pazhamudhir Nilayam.

This statement comes in the backdrop of few rumour-mongers who took pictures of stores being fumigated and started spreading rumours on social media that few store employees have been infected.
“We have only done contactless deliveries from the time the lockdown started and all our staffs have been checked periodically and this process of fumigation has been done couple of times before during the lockdown as well. This is a process we have adopted throughout the lockdown in all our stores across Coimbatore.” remarked Senthil.

“We will continue to provide trustworthy service to our customers which is one of the reasons why we have grown to be the trusted source for grocery and vegetables in Coimbatore. Please do not trust the rumours and baseless allegations” he said.
Rumours of street names, apartment names and grocery shop names have been floating around in social media with baseless allegations. If there has been contact history, the health department will shutdown the place, fumigate it and not open it for 28 days. This is the normal procedure and people will be notified of the same. Thus always look for authentic information to share rather than social media posts from people who do not have access to official data.
