Coimbatore: Home Guards Area Commander TK Dhanasekar today distributed groceries and face masks to home guards who have been on duty for coronavirus prevention working with the Coimbatore police force. Over 350 homeguards in the Coimbatore district have been working with the police on corona prevention.
Coimbatore: Home Guards Area Commander TK Dhanasekar today distributed groceries and face masks to home guards who have been on duty for coronavirus prevention working with the Coimbatore police force. Over 350 homeguards in the Coimbatore district have been working with the police on corona prevention.
Essential items were provided to 30 people at the Municipal Police Office. This was done to ensure social distancing was maintained. The supplies were distributed through the contributions of Sakthi Sugars, Chamundeswari Sugars, Bannari Amman Flour Mills and Grinar Tea with a funding of Rs. 2 lakh from Rotary Coimbatore Spectrum.
These items were distributed by the Home Guards Area Commander TK Dhanasekar, Spectrum Rotary Association representatives Balamurali and CG Kumar, as Coimbatore Commissioner of Police who was supposed to distribute the food supplies to Homeguards was unable to attend the event.
