Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Police have been involved in halting the traffic at signals for half an hour and educating the people about COVID-19. This has been followed for the third consecutive day today.

In spite of the lockdown people have been stepping out on the streets and are out on vehicles to various places, without essential reasons. The police have halted such vehicles at Ukkadam today and these motorists were then educated about the need for wearing face masks and maintain social distancing. They were permitted to leave after half an hour.
Ukkadam Police Inspector Rajavel, R.S. Puram Women's Police Station Inspector Prabhadevi, Ukkadam Police Station Sub Inspectors Balachandar, Sivano, Ramu, Constable Ramesh Babu and other policemen were involved in raising awareness to the people who were out on the streets.
