The Nilgiris: The Thalaimalai area in Nilgiris has been disinfected by spraying of antiseptic in Thalaimalai. Upon orders of District Collector Innocent Divya, and Town Panchayat Deputy Director Manoranjitham, headed by Naduvattom Executive Officer Nandakumar, antiseptic was sprayed in streets and canals of over 30 places including Pykara, TR Bazaar, Anumapuram, Naduvattom Bazaar, JJ Colony, Panchayat colony and Theivamalai area.

Town Panchayat Deputy Director Manoranjitham assisted by Naduvattom Executive Officer Nandakumar inspected the sanitary works. Naduvattom Executive Officer Nandakumar said there are a lot of people in the estates and tea plantation in the town panchayat.
He said, "We are giving them ample awareness of Corona to keep themselves clean and keep the environment clean. All areas are cleaned daily with disinfectant with sanitary workers."
