Many moves that are public friendly have been initiated by the District collector K Rajamani. He recently shutdown the meat shops and ordered that government will take full responsibility of feeding the needy. All these moves were taken with the welfare of the public of Coimbatore in mind.

Following this, the District Collector today announced that all Coimbatoreans should compulsorily wear masks while coming out to buy essentials and anyone who defies the orders will be booked. This is to prevent any unforeseen spread of the virus to others. He also mentioned that people in containment zones are strictly prohibited from leaving their homes and the areas and anyone who defies this order will be booked under the Infection Prevention Act.
