Chennai: The spread of the coronavirus has been continuously increasing and has nearly doubled every 4 days which is an alarming rate. Today saw another big jump in the number of cases reported in Tamilnadu and the total has reached 1173.

Today, the total number of cases in the state jumped by 98 new cases. Coimbatore and Tirupur saw increase in the number of new cases recorded today. Coimbatore district had 7 new coronavirus positive cases recorded today and Tirupur saw a another day of big increase with 18 new cases in the District.
The total number of cases in Coimbatore District has gone to 126 and Tirupur has jumped to 78 from the count of 25 cases until Saturday.
