Coimbatore: The police have been taking many stringent actions on violators of curfew everyday. Last couple of days the city police have started new methods to keep Coimbatoreans in their homes.
One such move has been to note and discourage those coming out in two wheelers on the streets without any significant reason. The police have begun marking two wheelers with yellow paint as a warning when the motorists have ventured out for no apparent essential reason.
The city police have warned the people to maintain social distancing and to not step out unless there is an essential reason but most of their wholehearted efforts have been in vain because people do not understand the seriousness of this lockdown. The police have been seizing vehicles and have been registering cases against the people.

Now, vehicles out on the road for inessential reasons are painted one yellow streak and are issued a warning. A second such violation earns a stern warning. On the third occurrence of this violation, the vehicle is confiscated and a case will be registered.
The police have started this operation near Kavundamplayam. Vehicles are painted yellow and are being let off with the first warning starting today.
