Coimbatore: Ever since this coronavirus outbreak was announced as a pandemic, all major congregations which had inflow of participants from abroad came under the scanner.

Subsequently the murmurs also surrounded Isha Foundation which had conducted their annual crowd puller ‘The Mahasivarathri’ event on February 21, 2020. Doctors from the health department had tested all the inmates in Isha and said that there are no COVID or ILI cases in Isha Foundation few days back.

The rumours though, didn’t stop there as recently there were several rumours coming through that many patients had been taken from Isha foundation with the help of ambulances and that ambulances have been plying to and fro from Isha Yoga Center in Velliangiri foothills.

The District Collector today while addressing the press in the Collectorate to appraise the situations surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic clarified that “No inmates of Isha Yoga center has been tested positive for COVID-19 but we are monitoring the situation closely.”
