Public cooperation is required to not let the virus enter third phase - Nilgiris District Collector Innocent Divya

The Nilgiris: “Public cooperation is essential to avoid corona infection from entering the third phase”, said District Collector Innocent Divya as she met the reporters today. The Nilgiris collector has been prompt in meeting with the press and updating the information for the public.

During today’s interaction she said “four people had been infected in the first test and are being treated at the ESI hospital in Coimbatore.

Four persons among those who had been isolated in the second phase were tested after 14 days and three were tested positive. One person is still under observation at the Ooty Hospital. She added that samples of thirty people who were in contact with them have been sent and results have are bring expected this evening. 

Out of 3 who tested positive, one belongs to Coonoor and two belong to Kotagiri. Hence S Kaikaati region is brought under strict observation. She added, "We are currently in the second phase and a full door-to-door inspection of the affected areas is being carried out."

She further added that “The public should cooperate fully with all measures taken by the district administration so as not to go to the next level. The public cooperation is paramount in fighting the spread and I request them to stay strictly indoors.”
