Coimbatore: In a bizarre incident, a 27-year-old man lost his cool and broke the window panes of the ESI hospital after he was denied home cooked food. The Singanallur police have registered a case and booked him under two sections.
Coimbatore: In a bizarre incident, a 27-year-old man lost his cool and broke the window panes of the ESI hospital after he was denied home cooked food. The Singanallur police have registered a case and booked him under two sections.
According to police reports, the 27-year-old man hailing from Thirumalai Nagar in Podanur has been undergoing treatment at the Cororna ward at ESI hospital in Singanallur. Today, while he was offered lunch, the man argued with the hospital staff for having home food. As it was against the norms, the staff denied home food and requested him to take the food offered by the hospital.
Enraged by their denial, the man lost his cool and broke the window glasses of the ward. His actions caused tense moments in the ward where over 50 people are treated for COVID19.
Following complaint raised by the ESI hospital authorities, the Singanallur police filed a case against and booked him under two sections - for damaging public property and hindering government staff from discharging their duty.
