Coimbatore Criminal Lawyers Association distribute vegetables worth Rs. 1 lakh to the needy

Coimbatore: The Criminal Lawyers Association of Coimbatore has distributed vegetables worth one lakh rupees to the public free of charge to help the financially distressed public during the curfew.


Coimbatore: The Criminal Lawyers Association of Coimbatore has distributed vegetables worth one lakh rupees to the public free of charge to help the financially distressed public during the curfew. 



Due to the corona pandemic the central and state governments have implemented 144 ban until April 14. Subsequently, the daily wagers, the state workers and the unskilled have been greatly inconvenienced. The state government has started working to address this issue using mobile grocery vans and also working with NGOs to assist the needy.



To alleviate and do their part in helping people, the Coimbatore Criminal Lawyers Association distributed vegetables to over 300 people. The package included beetroot, potatoes, tomatoes, green chillies, greens and drumsticks.

Apart from this, the association has planned to provide free vegetables for the public next week too.
