Islamic organisations come forward to test voluntarily for COVID-19 in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: As the prevalence of coronavirus spreading around the world is increasing day by day, Tamil Nadu health authorities are working on various preventive measures. Yesterday the health authorities are continuing to test the areas where most of the Jamaat visitors stayed in Coimbatore. The families of coronavirus victims in Coimbatore have been tested for any signs of ILI (influenza like illness).



Coimbatore: As the prevalence of coronavirus spreading around the world is increasing day by day, Tamil Nadu health authorities are working on various preventive measures. Yesterday the health authorities are continuing to test the areas where most of the Jamaat visitors stayed in Coimbatore. The families of coronavirus victims in Coimbatore have been tested for any signs of ILI (influenza like illness).

The health department conducting medical examination for the symptoms of ILI in the residential areas of Muslims, with the cooperation of all Islamic parties and the Jamaat Confederation. 



Also, medical examinations were conducted at the Arab mosque in Pothanur bringing all the families of the corona affected persons in one place. It is also reported that the examinations will continue with the cooperation of the Islamic Federation.

Raja Hussain, Coordinator of All Islamic Federation, said: -

"Most of the medical tests that have been taken place have shown people are not infected. Similarly, Islamists are ready to cooperate on behalf of all Jamaat to all doctors and health officials who come for medical checkups for coronavirus infection.

Full cooperation has already been given to the medical team that has come for medical examination. In addition, the district administration should stick stickers for 13 days of isolation if they are not affected by corona."

He told "the district administration that medical tests are currently underway on a request made on behalf of all Islamic movements and Jamaat and we'll be willing to do all we can to help the Islamic administration with legal and medical assistance related to the coronavirus and to assist the district administration in its efforts to eradicate coronavirus."

Earlier too when the government announced belatedly that the Jamaat conference is one of the main spots for the positive cases of coronavirus infection on March 31st, 1103 out of the 1131 being traced for contacts turned up voluntarily to the state government centre’s before April 2nd and the TN Health Secretary had thanked them for voluntarily coming forward.
