Traders defy social distancing at MGR Market; corporation officials seize stock
Coimbatore: Despite orders and awareness to maintain social distancing, the traders at MGR market of Ward No:10 have been acting callous interms of maintaining social distancing norms.
Acting on a tip off that traders continue to defy the norms, Corporation Commissioner J Sravan Kumar ordered the West Zone Assistant Commissioner to conduct surprise inspection at the market.
Today, Assistant Commissioner (West Zone) Senthil Arasan and team visited the market and confirmed the traders defying social distancing norms.
After warning tbe traders, the officials seized 105 kg of onion sacks and 21 trays of tomato.
