Coimbatore: The Valparai police had warned that vehicles of people who are out on the roads for inessential reasons would be confiscated.
Coimbatore: The Valparai police had warned that vehicles of people who are out on the roads for inessential reasons would be confiscated.

In the action following up that warning, a team led by Inspector Satish was involved in vehicle checks near the Gandhi statue. All two and four wheelers that passed through the area were stopped and enquired regarding the reason for their visit to the town. Further they were asked to produce their driving license, RC book, insurance and a helmet/seat belt inspection was conducted.

At the end of the inspection 13 two wheelers were confiscated and taken to the Valparai police station. Cases have been filed on three people.
The Police department also requested the public to stay at home and follow the lockdown. They further requested for the support of the people for the various actions initiated by the police.
