Chennai: CM in a press meet said that corona prevention work is being carried in the best way possible in TN. He also said 2.10 lakh travellers were screened for flu symptoms at the airports. He added that reports of 344 people are being awaited.
He said "2500 ventilators have been ordered and 50,000 Rapid Test Kits were arriving today. The extension of curfew will be considered after analysing the spread of the disease. There are chances for COVID-19 to enter phase-3 in TN but the corona prevention work is still being carried out intensively."
He further added that "40 lakhs has been received as fine paid against violating curfew." He added that "Corona Coordination Committee is working actively in Tamil Nadu, 137 Private Medical College and Hospitals are allocated for Corona Treatment. Rs. 1,000 bonus for 7 lakh persons working in various departments has been disbursed."
CM Edappadi Palanisamy said, "10 lakhs relief fund and a government job for one family member will be be provided to the family of the policeman who died of cardiac arrest while on duty during the curfew. "
