Coimbatore: Ever since the lockdown came into effect, the police have been vigilant in checking the movement of people in the public areas. People who travel outdoors, without essential reasons are being arrested, cases are being filed and novel punishments have been initiated by the police.
Coimbatore: Ever since the lockdown came into effect, the police have been vigilant in checking the movement of people in the public areas. People who travel outdoors, without essential reasons are being arrested, cases are being filed and novel punishments have been initiated by the police.
In this state, cases have now been filed on eight people, who stepped outdoors without face masks. The people who were arrested include Vijayakarthik of Selvapuram, Muthazhagu and Vaibhav of RS Puram, Ashok, Muhammed Aslam, Krishnan Mohandas, Sathishkumar and Sudheer Sharma of Variety Hall. All eight of them were arrested and later released on bail. Their vehicles have been confiscated.
This is a significant case as it will surely instil discipline with the public who venture out without face masks.
