Strict action against companies who dismiss or slash salaries during lockdown: Minister SP Velumani

Coimbatore: In a press meet at the District Collectorate, Minister SP Velumani said strict action will be initiated against companies who dismiss and slash salaries of employees during this lockdown. He also added that the public can eat free of cost at all Amma Unavagams in the city and that ADMK will bear the cost.


Coimbatore: In a press meet at the District Collectorate, Minister SP Velumani said strict action will be initiated against companies who dismiss and slash salaries of employees during this lockdown. He also added that the public can eat free of cost at all Amma Unavagams in the city and that ADMK will bear the cost. 

He said that corona prevention measures are being done on warfoot basis and 5 people have recovered completely and have been discharged from ESI hospital in Coimbatore. He also said that 59 people affected by the corona are being monitored and 2,626 beds and 385 ventilators are ready for treatment in government and private hospitals. He said that food items including rice and pulses were being provided to those who do not have a family card.

He urged that those who buy essential goods must follow social distancing and that private hospitals should treat patients without neglecting them.
