Like the CM announced, we are getting ready to bring in rapid testing kits to test more people in the district after April 10th.

We have had a sudden spate of cases in the last few days, how are we dealing with them?

Wherever we have found positive cases in the city, we have disinfected an area of 2kms surrounding the home of the patient and this activity is happening in war footing. This activity is completed in Annur, Madukkarai, Kuniyamuthur, Podanur and Karumbukkadai areas.

Also in areas where we found positive cases yesterday like Madukkarai, Kuniyamuthur, Karumbukadai and Podanur, the healthcare workers have gone on door-to-door screening activity to ascertain if there is anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 in those areas.

How many doctors are on duty in ESI Hospital?

There are 25 doctors and more than 20 nurses who are working in shifts exclusively in the special corona ward in ESI.

After answering all the questions, the collector had only one request for the people of Coimbatore and that was to help the administration by staying indoors and maintaining social distancing while buying essentials. By that way we will succeed in our fight against this fast spreading disease.
