The Nilgiris: Talking to the press about the COVID-19 situation in the Nilgiris, the Nilgiris District Collector Innocent Divya said, "Out of the 1312 people home quaratined in the Nilgiris, 770 people have finished their quarantine fully. 442 people are yet to complete their home quarantine. Healthcare workers are monitoring their progress constantly. 100 other people have been sent back to their home districts and are being monitored in their respective districts."

Over 100 people have been sent back to their home districts and are being monitored in their respective districts", informed District Collector of the Nilgiris at a press briefing on Monday.
Updating the status of the Delhi Tablighi Jamaat Conference participants, she said, "Eight people who attended the Delhi conference had tested for the virus. Four have tested positive and has been sent to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment. Four more people are at the Ooty GH, under constant supervision."
"The situation of COVID-19 is under control in the district and people need not panic", she said and further conveyed, "The four cases who tested positive, are from Kandhal, Conoor, Kothagiri and these places have been closed and sealed completely. These areas are under constant supervision and have been fumigated."
