The Nilgiris: The BJP cadres in Nilgiris have been involved in various preventive measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As a part of these measures spraying disinfectants and creating awareness among the people are being undertaken at Conoor, under the leadership of the Conoor BJP President Kumkumaraj.

Following this, the sanitation workers all over the district were honoured with a 'paadha poojai', by the cadres.
Prior to the pooja, the feet of the sanitation workers were washed with turmeric water and adorned with flowers. They were also offered garlands.
The event was led by the District General Secretary Easwaran and the District Secretary Parpanan. Conoor District General Secretaries Balaji and Saravanan, District Vice President Anankumar and others took part in the event.
