Coimbatore: To prevent people from breaking curfew, Mettupalayam Municipality has made arrangements to provide public with vegetables at their doorsteps. MLA Chinrasu inaugurated the service today.
Coimbatore: To prevent people from breaking curfew, Mettupalayam Municipality has made arrangements to provide public with vegetables at their doorsteps. MLA Chinrasu inaugurated the service today.
With 20 people who returned from Delhi tested positive for COVID-19 in Mettupalayam, public are advised to stay indoors to control infection.

Essential commodities such as Vegetable Market have also been shut down to ensure people do not crowd. Following this, vegetable sales in vehicles have been arranged by the Mettupalayam Municipality to cater to the essential needs of the public. The packages were taken to every area and was sold at Rs. 100 per package which includes 1kg tomatoes, half kilogram of onions, brinjal, snake gourd, green chillies, coconut, spinach, coriander, curry leaves and ladies finger etc.,
The Mettupalayam Municipality has requested the public to use the opportunity to buy vegetables at their doorsteps and refrain from coming out of their homes.
