Coimbatore: The public has appreciated the Coimbatore North Thasildhar for helping in carrying rice sacks on his back which were kept for corona relief work. The curfew has been enforced as the prevalence of coronavirus in the state is increasing.
Coimbatore: The public has appreciated the Coimbatore North Thasildhar for helping in carrying rice sacks on his back which were kept for corona relief work. The curfew has been enforced as the prevalence of coronavirus in the state is increasing.
To help in getting the food items to the needy, a community hall is set up to house and provide food for the migrant workers and for the destitute who live on the roads. Food is served from 10 am to 7 pm at the Northern Taluk Office in Coimbatore.
In support of the Government's effort in providing food, the Coimbatore Truck Owners Association donated 750kg of rice, while the Omni Owners and Tourist Association donated 750kg rice, while the Coimbatore District Bus Owners Association distributed 2250kg of rice to the District Collector K.Rajamani.
The rice was taken to the North Taluk office. While working on unloading the rice sacks, North Zone Thasildhar Maheshkumar carried the rice sacks on his shoulder and helped in unloading along with other workers. The work of Thasildhar has been praised and a video clipping of him in action is being shared virally on social networks.
