Today, the district administration and revenue department have announced some parts of the city including Mangalam and Devarampalayam near Tirupur as a containment zones. The public within three km of the declared areas will be checked tor symptoms and advised to be in home quarantine.
Tirupur: Following the outbreak of coronavirus in Tirupur, the revenue authorities have declared two areas near Tirupur as a corona containment zone. Two patients were tested positive yesterday for Coronavirus bringing the total count of affected to three. These two affected people had returned from Delhi.
In the Tiruppur district, 1114 people who returned from abroad are monitored and kept under quarantine. Out of these, 61 people have been released from quarantine as they are not infected and have past their safe quarantine period. All 3 Corona positive patients are being monitored.
Subsequently, 69 people have been tested as being related to the ones who have returned from attending the Jamaat in Delhi.
