The government has been insisting this to the people, but many people lack the awareness and are careless about maintaining social distancing.
The police have been dealing with the complacency and carelessness of the people, by creating awareness through various novel ideas and punishments. Following this, a Grade II Constable in Coimbatore, has been creating awareness regarding social distancing through a song that went viral on social media.
Pushparaj (35), a resident of Nilgiris, is a Grade II Constable and works for the Kovaipudur 4th Battalion. He began his duties in 2016 and is a great fan of singing.
Upon observing that people do not maintain social distancing, during his work time, he decided to sing this song, to raise awareness among the people. This has won the appreciation of the police and the public.
Speaking about this, Pushparaj said, "People should be aware of the current situation and remain safe. The song is meant to convey that each life is precious. This song was not sung for entertainment, it was sung to reach out to the people, and to make them aware of the effort that is being put in by the Tamilnadu police. If the people abide by the rules of the government and behave in a safe manner, they can keep themselves away from this dangerous disease."
