Today the Health and Family Welfare Department Secretary Beela Rajesh, had replied to a question posted in twitter to her, clarifying the need for a 28 day quarantine.
A twitter user posted the question, whether the symptoms can show up after the 14 day period. Clarifying the need to be careful for 28 days, she said, "A negative test does not indicate absence of the virus. It can turn positive anytime. Hence the need for 28 day quarantine. Standard public health guidelines prescribe a foolproof double incubation period always."
This answer should help the people to realise the need for people being safe and in isolation even after the lockdown is completed. This will ensure the virus leaves the body systems completely.
