Tirupur: Tiruppur MP Subbarayan came down hard on the announcements made by PM Modi today morning in his online broadcast in Twitter. Speaking to reporters in Tirupur constituency, Subbarayan said that “the Prime Minister should concentrate more on scientific measures and real schemes to help the affected people than focusing on political gimmickry like light lamps and torchlights. At this time the Prime Minister of the country should focus on scientific measures rather than on gimmickry“
He further added that “Prime Minister Modi should act like the leader of the nation and not the head of the RSS. He should be protecting the constitution and democracy. He allocates Rs. 15,000 crores to fight coronavirus but allocates Rs. 20,130 crores to renovate the parliament vista.”
MP Subbarayan also accused the Tamilnadu CM for not calling for an all party meeting as proposed by the opposition to discuss on COVID-19 preventive measures. Ignoring the same has resulted in TN now being the second most infected state in the country and we are entering a dangerous zone, he added.
“The AIADMK and BJP of using the situation to advertise their parties in ration shops. The Thasildhar is not answering my calls when I called to complain about this issue. If he continues to avoid the calls we will file a case in the Madras High Court.”, the CPI(M) MP accused.
