However, the same is not for the tipplers who are having a tough time without liquor. As hoarding of illegal liquor is being reported in several parts of Tamil Nadu, the State has already issued stern warning against violators.

As hoarding of illegal liquor is being reported in several parts of Tamil Nadu, the State has already issued stern warning against violators.
Based on a tip-off to the District Collector K Rajamani that illegal liquor hoarding is taking place behind TASMAC Shop No: 1599, on Sanganoor Road, Ganapathi, the Collector the concerned officials to investigate the issue.
Following this, a team led by the North Tahsildar Mahesh inspected the private building and found 680 bottles of liquor, that were kept for illegal sale. Subsequently, liquor bottles worth Rs.75,000 were confiscated from the building.
Bar owner Paramasivam, Selvam, Sekar and Selvam were arrested by the police, for hoarding liquor and the building was sealed.
