The prevalence of coronavirus threatening the world is increasing day by day. As a result, the central government has issued lockdown across the country and no one is allowed to go on roads. As a result, the police are engaged in a series of security operations throughout the country.

In the meantime, a team led by the Police Inspector Muthumalai was working on the security in the Gandhipuram bus station in Coimbatore. At that time, police detained people who were travelling on the road. Inquiries with them later revealed that they had travelled unnecessarily. Following this, the police confiscated their two-wheeler and made them do sit-ups.
Many struggled to do the sit-ups and the inspector told them "see already you are not able to do sit-ups properly because your air passage through respiratory tracts is not proper and you people are venturing out. The Police are standing here risking our lives for you. Please follow the rules for your own safety".
The videos of the punishment are going viral on social media.
