With nearly 100 people related to the Jamaat incident, quarantined in Coimbatore, Annur and Mettupalayam and with 28 cases reported yesterday, this news of no additional infections identified today must come as welcome news to denizens of the city.
Coimbatore: In what will come as good news to many, no new cases have been tested positive for coronavirus in the district. For the last few days, 91 people have been isolated under suspicion of coronavirus infections after it was confirmed that all of them had connections with those who had travelled to New Delhi for the Tablighi Jamaat conference.
The number of cases in TN has risen by 75 today to a total of 309 positive cases. Of these 75 cases, 74 have been related to the Jamaat conference.
