Tirupur: The tracking and identification of those who travelled to participate in the Tablighi Jamaat conference in New Delhi has been a national issue. It was estimated that around 1500 participants from Tamilnadu had attended this conference.
All District Administrations of the state of Tamilnadu were given lists of names to be traced and quarantined. The Tirupur District Administration was given a list of 47 members to be traced and quarantined. Out of this 47, 45 of them were originally from Tirupur and 2 from Namakkal who have been staying in Tirupur.
Luckily, due to the diligent action of the administration, Tirupur Collector has now informed that all 47 of them who participated in the Jamaat conference have been tracked and isolated.
This will surely be a sigh of relief to the citizens of Tirupur as they can be rest assured that the spread of the virus from these participants can now be contained and monitored.
