Coimbatore: Gurumoorthy (50), owns a grocery store on Nanjudapuram Road, in Ramanathapuram. A young man had come to the shop to buy some groceries, but ended up stealing 4 bars of soap, three washing soap bars and a two litre packet of oil.
Coimbatore: Gurumoorthy (50), owns a grocery store on Nanjudapuram Road, in Ramanathapuram. A young man had come to the shop to buy some groceries, but ended up stealing 4 bars of soap, three washing soap bars and a two litre packet of oil.
Gurmumoorthy caught the man red-handed and handed him over to the Ramanathapuram Police. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the man, named Ravikumar (27), was a worker from Dharmapuri. Due to the lockdown, he had not been to work and therefore had no money to buy essentials, and confessed to stealing the soap and oil.
Following this, the police warned Ravikumar and let him go.
